Middlesex-London Paramedic Service Celebrates Graduation of 23 New Paramedics from Bridge Program
(May 15, 2026) – Middlesex-London Paramedic Service (MLPS) is proud to celebrate the graduation of 23 future paramedics from its Paramedic Bridge Program, a specialized recruitment and development initiative designed to support Fanshawe College paramedic students as they transition into frontline work.
The MLPS Bridge Program provides paramedic students with enhanced clinical field placement opportunities while preparing them for successful careers within the service. Participants are paired with experienced MLPS Coach Medics and receive additional organizational support throughout their education journey, including guidance toward college completion, provincial licensing, and Base Hospital certification
“This program represents a significant development in the future of paramedic services in our community,” said Adam Bennett, Director of Paramedic Services with MLPS. “By supporting students early in their careers, we are helping to build a confident, well-prepared workforce committed to delivering high‑quality emergency medical care to the residents of Middlesex County and the City of London.”
Through hands-on mentorship and structured learning opportunities, the Bridge Program fosters professional growth while allowing students to gain real-world experience within the MLPS service model. Many graduates will go on to begin their careers directly with MLPS, strengthening service continuity and enhancing patient care across the region
“We congratulate each graduate on this achievement and look forward to welcoming them as they begin the next chapter of their paramedic careers,” said MLPS Authority Board Chair Brian Ropp.
